The Environmental Defenders' Office (ACT) is an incorporated association which is governed by the Associations Incorporation Act 2009 (NSW).
EDO ACT maintains a small number of staff who are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organisation. This includes the Principal Solicitor who is responsible for the preparation of legal advice and information, as well as the coordination of volunteers and support staff.
Camilla Taylor, Principal Solicitor (full time)
Camilla Taylor is the principal solicitor at the Environmental Defenders' Office (ACT). She has an extensive background in litigation and is currently completing a Master of Laws at the University of NSW.
Nicola Silbert, Policy and Communications Director
Nicola is currently completing a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Science at Monash University. She has experience in NGOs and the environmental movement, including working for NGOs based at the United Nations in both Geneva and Vienna.
Jason Parsons, Administrator
Jason has had a long standing interest in financial work. He joined the Environmental Defenders' Office (ACT) after a successful career working with small businesses.
The committee of EDO ACT sets the strategic direction of the organisation. Members of the committee are elected by the members of EDO ACT each year at the Annual General Meeting.
